About Kadji Care
KADJI CARE was founded by Dr Nikunj Chavda on 14th July 2011. He was associated with few NGOs based in Brisbane and Gold Cost, Australia before executing his thoughts of establishing KADJI. He spent around 3.5 years from 2008 to 2011 abroad, learning and understanding various aspects of geriatric care and rehabilitation. In 2011, he returned to India. It was always his dream and passion to be an entrepreneur in the social service segment. His father Shri. Mahesh G Chavda was suffering from a chronic illness and even though being a part of a joint family; it was difficult to get medical/paramedical resources for home. This was the phase when the thought of providing the missing services to the community came into the mind of Dr Nikunj. The foundation of KADJI was laid down in the year 2011 and its first 9 bedded care facility was introuced in the city of Vadodara. Today KADJI CARE is serving more than 50 residents at a time in a variety of set-up from affordable to high-end luxury care centres.
The Kadji Care Activities engages mind, body and soul of our residents. Our person-centered approach
allows each resident to choose how they spend their day enjoying our activities. At Kadji, we believe in engaging our residents in meaningful and fun social activities that enhance their daily lives and prevent a decline in their physical and emotional function. We provide a variety of on site and off site outings as often as possible to stimulate our residents.
with this fun activity, the residents sit in a circle with bats, tossing a balloon to each other. This activity allows for hand/eye coordination, arm motions, visual tracking, attention building and socialization.
This fun activity is focused on building hand/eye coordination, fine motor skills, attention and visual tracking. Residents insert toothpicks into biscuits to make edible umbrellas. The goal is to make as many as you can in a minute. So a little healthy competition is also a good thing for fun.
Ambulatory residents are given a chance to go for morning and evening walks accompanied by staff to improve their cardio functions and to enjoy the garden with their friends. “Talk and Walk” while you have fun.
During these sessions, residents get to enjoy some devotional music to fulfil their spiritual needs. With antakshari, they are able to reminisce about their good old days: the movies, actors, songs that they enjoyed. It allows for a healthy discussion about when they were younger.
